I was asked to create a film for the Imperial War Museum in London, who were opening their doors in 2014 after a huge refurbishment. This also coincided with the marking of the First World War Centenary. Working with agency, Jonny Fearless, we married beautiful animated images of landscapes, created by production designer, Aurelien Predal, with actual soldier’s voices from the era, to create a delicate film reminding us that the stories of the war will always remain. I loved that the campaign was such a simple idea to convey a huge piece of history.
The story resonated virally across social media and the advertising and film industries, and picked up a number of acclaimed awards Including D&ADs in Film Advertising Crafts and Best Animated Television/ Broadcast Commercial at the 42nd ASIFA Annie Awards.
